Last night I attended a talk in Belfast on SEO for small local companies. The Presenter David Horn gave an excellent basic lecture on best SEO Practices as they apply to local businesses. He also clearly set out the need for strategy and planning in all your online marketing activities. I was quite impressed by his obvious handle on modern SEO practices. It struck me as I looked around that the hall was very busy. In fact there was not an empty seat to be seen.

The event had been sponsored by Belfast City Council and was designed for small business owners. Small business owners were extremely well represented at it. It was obvious that more and more business owners were cognizant of the need for online marketing strategy. Whilst I have been saying it for a long time, it was interesting and gratifying to see that other people thought so too. Every trade as it were was represented, Florist, Accountant, Clothier, Hearing Healthcare Professional etc..

Somebody recently said that social media is not the silver bullet for hearing healthcare. They were right, there is no silver bullet. But social media as a part of your online healthcare marketing strategy is important. Your online healthcare marketing strategy is extremely important and growing even more important day by day. But your online healthcare marketing strategy is also just an important part of your overall healthcare marketing strategy.

So no silver bullets, but if you do not begin integrating proper online healthcare marketing strategy you will suffer. In fact if you haven’t, you are already suffering. So yes, you may be doing alright today, but your funnel has to be kept filled. A proper healthcare marketing strategy will assist in this goal. Although you know that a healthcare marketing strategy is just part of your overall commercial strategy right?
